The most sheltered water in Greece. The meltemi reaches the gulf only from mid-July to late August, and weaker than in the Cyclades. The dial also prices the yachts above for that month.

What a week here is like
The Saronic Gulf is the easiest start in Greece. You fly into Athens, board in a marina near the city, and reach the first island the same afternoon. The islands are close to each other, so the days are short at sea and long at anchor.
It is the most sheltered water of the four areas. The meltemi reaches the gulf only from mid-July to late August, and weaker than in the Cyclades. That makes it a good choice for a first charter, for young children and for a shorter week.
Islands for your week
The captain plans the week day by day, around the wind. These are within reach from Athens and Lavrio.
AeginaThe nearest island, with pistachio orchards and the Temple of Aphaia.
AgistriPine trees down to the water and clear coves, next to Aegina.
PorosA clock tower above a narrow channel, with the Peloponnese across the water.
HydraNo cars: stone mansions around the harbour and donkeys on the steps.
SpetsesHorse carriages, pine forests and long swims.
DokosAlmost nobody lives there. One wide bay with clear water.
Palaia EpidavrosA small ancient theatre in the village, a walk from the harbour.
