How much does a crewed yacht charter in Greece cost?
On our list a week with crew costs from €17,040 in low season, and from €21,235 in July and August, all in: the weekly rate, VAT 12% and the APA. A catamaran for ten starts at about €22,605 a week all in. Each yacht’s card shows the price for the month you pick, and the table above shows each kind of yacht.
Is a crewed yacht charter all inclusive?
Close to it. The price on each yacht is the yacht, her crew, VAT and the APA, which pays for fuel, food, drinks and harbours, and what is not spent comes back to you. The only thing not in it is the tip for the crew, which is up to you.
Is the yacht private?
Yes. The yacht and her crew are yours alone for the week: no other guests on board, and each day is planned with you.
Do we need a sailing licence?
No. Every yacht on this site comes with her captain, and most with a cook or a host as well.
Is the price on each yacht the full price?
Yes, for the month you pick: the weekly rate, VAT at 12% and the APA, in one number. Without a month you see the range, from the cheapest to the dearest week of 2027. Your proposal confirms it for your exact dates.
What is the APA?
Money held for the running costs of your week: fuel, harbour fees, food and drinks. It is 25 to 40% of the rate, depending on the yacht. The captain keeps the receipts, and what is not spent comes back to you.
When is the best time to sail in Greece?
June and September for most people: a warm sea, long days and fewer boats than in July and August. May and October are quieter and cost less; July and August are the liveliest. Each sea’s page shows it month by month.
Why so few yachts?
Because we keep up to eight in each sea, one for each kind of group, so the choice stays clear. If none fits, tell us what you need and we look further for you.
How do I hold a yacht?
Send us your week. We check availability with the owner and reply within 24 hours, and we can usually hold the yacht for a few days, at no cost, while you decide.
Do I pay anything now?
No. Asking and holding cost nothing. To confirm, you sign a MYBA contract and pay 50%. The other 50% and the APA are due 30 days before you sail.
How much should we tip the crew?
That is up to you, and nothing is added to your bill. If you wish, you hand it to the captain at the end of the week.
