Where to sail

Four sailing areas, from the Aegean islands to the Ionian

Yachting in Greece means four very different seas. Pick one on the map: its crewed yachts and their weekly prices follow right below, each with its real photo.

Greece with its four sailing areas

Aegean Sea

The Cyclades

6 yachts with crew · from €13,000 a week

Mykonos · Syros · Paros · Antiparos · Naxos · Koufonisia · Amorgos · Ios · Santorini · Folegandros · Milos · Sifnos

Volcanic islands, white villages and sandy beaches. The meltemi blows steady in July and August, often force 4 to 6: great sailing, livelier crossings.

See the 6 yachts ↓

Saronic Gulf

Athens & Saronic

8 yachts with crew · from €16,400 a week

Aegina · Agistri · Poros · Hydra · Spetses

The Saronic islands, an hour from Athens and the Acropolis, in sheltered water with lighter winds than the open Aegean.

See the 8 yachts ↓

Aegean Sea

The Dodecanese

4 yachts with crew · from €12,500 a week

Patmos · Lipsi · Leros · Kalymnos · Kos · Nisyros · Tilos · Symi · Chalki · Rhodes

Medieval harbours along the Turkish coast. The meltemi reaches here in high summer; spring and autumn are gentler.

See the 4 yachts ↓

Ionian Sea

The Ionian

7 yachts with crew · from €12,000 a week

Corfu · Paxos · Lefkada · Meganisi · Ithaca · Kefalonia

Green islands and olive groves, and the calmest Greek waters: still mornings, then a light afternoon breeze, the maistro.

50% to book, the rest and the APA 30 days before you sail. The captain keeps receipts for the APA and gives back what is left.

What guests say about Vista Yachting

Yachting in Greece is run by Vista Yachting. These are Vista Yachting’s own reviews, collected and verified by Trustindex.

The crew behind the experience

Every yacht we list sails with a professional crew: a licensed captain who knows Greek waters and, depending on the yacht, a host or a chef.

Greek hospitality, philoxenia, is an old Greek tradition, and on board it lives in the small things: breakfast at anchor, Greek cuisine cooked with olives and local produce, lunch at a harbour taverna where the fishing boats come in, and the quiet bay the captain saves for the afternoon.
